Harase Kyoko and her fiancé Masashi are driving home one night. They are listening to the radio, and the DJ announces the time to be 12:27. The radio suddenly starts emitting white noise, so Kyoko switches it off. Kyoko is an actress, dubbed as the Horror Queen by the mainstream media. She is pregnant with the couple's child. On the road, they hit something, which they find out later to be a cat. After Masashi is done inspecting it, Kyoko sees a kid with small pale legs running towards the cat's body. On resuming driving, she notices that the same pale child is under the steering wheel. He attempts and succeeds in driving the couple into a roadside accident. When Kyoko regains consciousness after the crash, she notices that Masashi is unconscious and she is bleeding from her womb.
